Eye Facts!
The eye skin is 40% thinner than the rest of your face. There are fewer collagen and elastin fibers in the eye area. This makes the eye more prone to dark circles, wrinkles and sagging.

Does drinking water help?
Yes!!! The human body is about 70% water. Of course we need stay hydrated, we are mainly made up of water! Skin is the largest organ and the last to receive the water we drink, so drink up! Women should be drinking at least 11.5 cups (2.7 liters) of water a day. Men need 15.5 cups (3.7 liters) of water a day. If you drink plenty of water your skin will thank you later.

How much sleep is enough sleep?
To reduce under-eye circles and puffiness make sure you are getting at least 8 hours of sleep every night. If not you may have under-eye dark circles, eye redness and may be swollen. Sleep is essential to allow us to recharge and refresh our bodies.

Do you really need an eye cream?
We should have started applying an eye cream at the age of 18. Since the skin of the eye is thinner than the skin of the face, it ages faster. It’s more prone to show age and fatigue. Eye cream addresses these issues.

Which eye cream though?
PCA Skin ideal complex eye cream or PCA Skin ideal complex revitalizing eye gel are perfect eye products for you. Now these two are the same formula but different in texture and feel. For mature clients, I recommend the eye cream since it’s creamier in texture and they need the added moisture. For younger clients or oily prone skin types, I recommend the gel since is lighter and smoother in texture. Truly it’s your preference at the end.

Both eye products help to strengthen, firm and lift the skin around the eye area, including the eyelid. Optical diffusers provide instant brightness. These treat dark circles, puffiness, fine lines, wrinkles and sagging eyelids. Rapid results are seen within one week.

Does wearing an spf really affect the eye skin?
Sun protection is essential for the skin of the face everyday even for the eyes. We must protect the fragile, thin eye area from UVA/UVB rays. If not we can age our skin faster and make the dark-circles worse.

Is spf safe for eyes? Is it safe for the reefs?
Not all spf’s are gentle enough for the eyes. Remember that the skin of the eyes are thinner therefore you must choose the right spf to prevent burning or harm to the eye area.
